The Agency for the Development of Economic Zones (ADEZ) under the Ministry of Economy signed on September 25 two contracts with two private companies for the implementation of engineering- construction and installation works aimed at the establishment of two industrial parks being created from 2021 on the territories liberated from occupation. Total cost of procurement contracts concluded by the request for proposals method is AZN 185.5 million, or $ 109.1 million. At the same time, a 10-month period is allotted for the fulfillment of contractual obligations. According to the public procurement portal, CJSC “Ima-Energy” https://imaenergy.az / (TIN: 1601005511) will perform the construction and installation of electrical structures https://etender.gov.az/main/competition/detail/293912 on the territory of the “Agdam Industrial Park” and the “Araz Valley Economic Zone”. Note that for this purchase agreement, the ADEZ will pay the company 67.3 million manats from the state budget. Aside from this, a more expensive contract (AZN 118.2 million, or $ $69.5 million) was granted to “Global Interiors Group” LLC https://gig.az / (TIN: 1400198291), a part of the “Bridge Group of Companies” group. This company will perform construction and installation works of infrastructure facilities https://etender.gov.az/main/competition/detail/293907 specified PP. At the same time, the ADEZ does not disclose information about the scope of work and the goods and items purchased for this purpose. It is worth recalling that the work on the creation of the “Agdam Industrial Park” and the “Araz Valley Economic Zone” has been underway since May 2021. 190 and 200 hectares of land are allocated to these industrial zones, respectively. At present, the ADEZ has granted the status of a resident of the Aghdam PP to 19 companies and the “Araz Valley Economic Zone” in the Jabrayil region to 5 companies.
