BAKU – The COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the ISO 45001 certification, an internationally recognized standard for occupational health and safety management systems. This certification follows a rigorous external audit by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS, highlighting the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and health.
According to Trend News Agency, the ISO 45001 certification was formally granted on October 2nd, during a meeting between Nahla Abid, a representative from Bureau Veritas, and Narmin Jarchalova, Chair of the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company and Chief Operating Officer for COP29. The discussions during the meeting emphasized the critical importance of fostering a safe and secure working environment.
Nahla Abid pointed out that achieving the ISO 45001 certification reflects the company’s dedication to sustainable practices and its stringent implementation of occupational safety measures. She praised the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company for its efforts to adhere to international safety standards. Narmin Jarchalova reiterated the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing working conditions and continuously improving safety protocols.
