A parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the People`s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation Zaur Askenderov has today visited Azerbaijan`s Alley of Honors and Alley of Martyrs. The visitors first paid respect and put wreath at the tomb of the national leader, founder and architect of modern, independent Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev. The delegation also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva. The Dagestani parliamentarians then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes, who gave their lives for their country’s independence and sovereignty and put flowers at their graves. They also viewed the Eternal Flame monument. The visitors then enjoyed a panoramic view of Baku, as they were informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs, as well as landscaping work carried out in the city.
