Hungarian business expects to end reviving Azerbaijan’s Soltanli by late 2025 – FM

BAKU: The Hungarian company plans to end restoration and reconstruction work in Azerbaijan’s Soltanli village by the end of 2025, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at the 10th session of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary, Trend reports.

‘A Hungarian company is involved in the reconstruction of Soltanli settlement in Jabrayil district. They will rebuild the entire settlement. The construction of public spaces has already begun. Other work will be scheduled by the end of November. By the end of 2025, it is planned to complete the rehabilitation and reconstruction work.

We always supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,’ he emphasized.

To note, a solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone of Soltanli village liberated from occupation was held on November 24, 2023.

The ceremony was attended by Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jabra
yil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts of the East Zangezur Economic Region; Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan; Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture; Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary; and residents of the village. The general plan of the village project was developed by the Hungarian holding KESZ together with the Main State Design Institute Azermemarproject by order of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
