Baku – The official visit of Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, the President of the Republic of Iraq, to Azerbaijan concluded on November 21. The visit aimed to bolster the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, APA reports that a guard of honour was arranged at Heydar Aliyev International Airport for the Iraqi President’s departure. The airport was adorned with the national flags of both Azerbaijan and Iraq. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid was seen off by Yagub Eyyubov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov, the Deputy Foreign Minister, and other officials. The visit signifies the strong diplomatic ties and ongoing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iraq.
