Israel may strike targets deep inside Iranian territory to demonstrate its military capabilities, Qatar’s Al Jazeera reported, citing an unnamed US official, APA reports.

According to the TV channel’s source, Israel’s possible response to an Iranian attack may not be aimed at escalating tensions, but rather at demonstrating its military capabilities. “Israel has not informed us of a specific date for a possible strike. We are continuing our efforts to prevent further escalation,” the official said, adding that the decision was up to Israel.
