Kazakh Air Astana increases frequency of flights to Azerbaijan’s Baku


ASTANA: Kazakhstan’s largest airline, Air Astana, has increased the number of flights from Almaty to Baku (Azerbaijan), Trend reports.

According to the company, the number of flights from Almaty to Baku in the summer schedule of international flights for 2024 has been increased to three times a week.

In addition, the airline has also increased flights from Almaty to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) to 14 times a week; to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) to 8 times a week; to Tbilisi (Georgia) to 9 times a week; and to Dushanbe (Tajikistan) to 4 times a week.

Meanwhile, for the winter schedule period from October 2023 through March 2024, the Air Astana group of companies, including FlyArystan, operated 7 flights per week from the cities of Almaty, Astana, and Aktau to Azerbaijan.

Of these, 2 flights per week in the direction Astana – Baku – Astana and 3 flights per week in the direction Aktau – Baku – Aktau were operated by FlyArystan. In the direction of Almaty – Baku – Almaty, there were 2 flights per week by Air Astana.

hermore, the number of passengers transported by air in Kazakhstan amounted to 13.3 million from January through December 2023. This is 20.7 percent more than in the same period in 2022.

At the same time, passenger turnover amounted to 25.9 billion p-km (increased by 28.8 percent compared to January-December 2022).
