ASTANA: Kazakhstan is ready to provide support to Turkish investors for the implementation of projects, said Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, addressing Turkish business representatives, Trend reports.

“The investment potential of our country is enormous, and we are interested in further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Trkiye. Kazakhstan is aimed at transferring advanced technologies, localizing production, and creating deep processing clusters to obtain high-quality, high-value products. Investors who are ready to cooperate in this direction will be provided with the necessary resources, infrastructure, and support. The government of Kazakhstan is ready to become a reliable and long-term partner for everyone who is ready to do business in our country,” he said.

Among the promising areas, Bektenov noted petrochemicals, coal chemistry, and mechanical engineering, with a focus on deepening the localization of production and expanding the model range of manufactured equipment.

In turn, Vice Pres
ident of Trkiye Cevdet Yilmaz, noted that there is a positive trend in trade and economic relations between the countries.

“I would also like to note the special importance of today’s negotiations. The governments of our countries will continue to make joint efforts to develop their economies and provide all possible assistance to businesses. I am confident that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Trkiye will expand thanks to new agreements,” he added.

Notably, Trkiye is one of the main trading partners of Kazakhstan. Thus, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Trkiye amounted to $6 billion in 2023.

At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Trkiye for the above period amounted to $3.9 billion.

In addition, imports from Trkiye from January through December 2023 increased by 27 percent and amounted to $2 billion.
