Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic, who is on a visit to Baku to participate in the XI Global Baku Forum, met with the staff of the My Azerbaijan International Magazine.

The meeting took place at the head office of the My Azerbaijan International Magazine. The Editor-in-Chief of the international magazine and Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Sciences Emil Nasirli, who greeted the member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic, recalled with pleasure their previous meeting. During the conversation, the contribution of the XI Global Baku Forum to intercultural dialogue and cooperation was emphasized. There was stated that the Forum’s reputation in the world is growing more and more. Emil Nasirli then spoke about the activities of the international magazine, ongoing projects to improve information exchange with local and international organizations, as well as the successes achieved over the past years in integrating the international magazine
into global experience.

Emil Nasirli reported at the meeting that by the decision of the Editorial Board of the My Azerbaijan International Magazine, the member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanovich was elected an Honorary Member of the magazine and presented him with an Honorary Member Certificate.

Editor-in-Chief Emil Nasirli stated that political relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina are at a fairly high level: ‘Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina support each other in all issues within the framework of international organizations. Azerbaijan has always supported Bosnia and Herzegovina in the event of any difficulties. As stated by the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, when Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity during the Second Karabakh War, Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly supported Azerbaijan and our just cause. This is a position of friendship and brotherhood. In turn, Azerbaijan also unequivocally supported the interests of Bosnia and Herzego
vina in all matters, including the territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of its borders.’

Emil Nasirli also noted that the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan has a working group on interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Baku and Sarajevo have been sister cities as far back as since the 70s of the last century.

Emil Nasirli further added that recently trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina have also been developing at a rapid pace in terms of high dynamism. But from the point of view of absolute numbers, it is necessary to take full advantage of the opportunities to expand trade and economic ties. As a very serious and promising document, the Declaration of Strategic Partnership signed between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina shows the directions of future development between the two countries.

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic noted that he follows with great interest the colo
rful materials published on the pages of the My Azerbaijan International Magazine and thanked the members of the Editorial Board of the magazine for awarding him the title of Honorary Member. Then, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic got acquainted with the photo stand at the editorial office, covering the activities of the My Azerbaijan International Magazine over the past years.

At the meeting, a wide exchange of views took place on the importance of expanding relations between the leading media of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the My Azerbaijan International Magazine in the direction of information exchange, the importance of the contribution of these relations to the use of the necessary means to promote Bosnia and Herzegovina in Azerbaijan and our country in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and also expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries.

Then, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic, being a guest of the editorial office
of the My Azerbaijan International Magazine in 2024, expressed his heartfelt gratitude in the magazine’s Honorary Memorial Book.
