New Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology appointed in Kyrgyzstan

Dinara Kutmanova was dismissed from the post of Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision. Press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Sadyr Japarov signed a corresponding decree.

Melis Turgunbaev became the Acting Minister of Natural Resources.

The president submitted his candidacy for approval to the Parliament for appointment to the post of minister.

Melis Turgunbaev was the Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzneftegaz. From 2013 to 2017, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the company, until recently he was its chairman. From 2006 to 2020, he worked for the Russian company Gazprom. Prior to joining the gas industry, Turgunbaev was a leading specialist in the Ministry of Finance.
