President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the country’s leader Mohammad Shahabuddin on the occasion of Independence Day of Bangladesh, APA reports.

The letter reads: “Dear Mr. President,

It is on the occasion of the National Holiday of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh – Independence Day that on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate you and your entire people.

I believe that we will continue our joint efforts to develop friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh, expand our cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally, especially within the framework of COP29, which is set to be hosted by our country.

On this festive day, I convey my best wishes to you, and wish peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Bangladesh.”
