“Azerbaijani engineers and builders have constructed two settlements during construction of Baikal-Amur Mainline with support of Heydar Aliyev,” said President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a joint meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Moscow involving railway veterans and workers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, APA reports.

According to Vladimir Putin, now Azerbaijani builders take part in the reconstruction and modernization of areas of the BAM passing through Khabarovsk and Yakutsk.
