The death toll in the road accident in Turkiye has reached 19, said Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, APA reports.

Six of the wounded were in critical condition.

26 people were injured as a result of the incident.

Sixteen people died and 29 others were injured in Derik district of Mardin, Turkiye on Saturday when a truck hit a site where first respondents were attending to another accident, said Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, APA reports.

A malfunction with the truck’s brake system was the root of the accident.
