190 hectares of Horadiz-Aghband highway cleared of mines

The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) continues to clear explosive devices on the part of the Horadiz-Agband highway passing through the Jabrayil region, ANAMA told APA.

The mentioned highway is a part of the project called the Zangazur corridor.

In accordance with the order, it is planned to clear the 22nd to 36th km of the highway, ie up to 14 km of mines. 6 km or 190 hectares of it has been completely cleared of mines and UXOs.

752 mines and unexploded ordnance, 396 antipersonnel mines, 25 anti-tank mines, and 331 PHS have been found and neutralized by ANAMA in the mentioned area.
