The necessary preventive measures have been taken since early 2020 in order to prevent the threat posed by the COVID-19 virus in the territory of Azerbaijan and the Task Force has been established under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan to implement preventive and urgent decisions, State Statistics Committee told APA.
As a continuation of flexible and systematic preventive measures in Azerbaijan, social isolation rules were applied and a special quarantine regime was declared from March 14, 2020, in order to prevent the spread of the virus
Currently, there are 46 hospitals for coronavirus patients in the country. At the same time, in order to meet the needs of the country in the fight against the virus, the production of protective masks, disinfectants, and other necessary medical supplies was launched in a short time.
