6.0 magnitude quake hits northern Argentina

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake shook an area near Argentinas northern border with Bolivia on Thursday, the US Geological Survey reported, according to AFP.

The quake, which struck at 14.15 GMT, was centered about 48 kilometers (30 miles) northwest of the town of Abra Pampa, Argentina at a depth of 258.1 kilometers.
