Over the past 24 hours, 984 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Azerbaijan, 1,748 patients have recovered, and 12 have died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on December 16.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 608,060 cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified in the country, including 582,243 people recovered, 8,149 have died, 17,668 are actively sick.

Over the past day, 12,440 tests have been carried out in connection with the detection of new cases of infection.

Also, over the past day, 30,303 people have been vaccinated in Azerbaijan. The number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine was 3335, the second – 4 126, and the booster dose – 22 842.

The total number of vaccinated in the country is 10,990,538. At the same time, the number of people who received the first dose is 5,131,789 people, the second – 4,630,793, and the booster dose – 1,227,956 people.
