The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (FSAA) appealed to the State Customs Committee to take measures regarding transport arriving from the Czech Republic and Finland, as well as vehicles passing through them because of the threat of the spread of bird flu. Thus, Azerbaijan has introduced a ban on the import of poultry and poultry products from a number of regions of the Czech Republic and Finland. Earlier, similar banning measures were taken on the import of poultry and poultry products from the regions of England, Germany and Bulgaria.
