A memorial service for the martyr was held at the capital’s school

The memory of Javid Hasanov, a martyr of the Great Patriotic War, was commemorated at secondary school No. 214 in Baku.

This was reported to AZERTAC by the Baku City Education Department. It was noted that the event began with the sounding of the national anthem and a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the Motherland.

The participants first got acquainted with the classroom named after the martyr Javid Hasanov and the corner designed to immortalize his memory.

Director of the school Fattah Fattayev spoke about the courage and heroism of the sons of Azerbaijan in the Great Patriotic War, the responsibilities of the younger generation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Huseyn Asgarov, Deputy Director of the ITUC, said that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the state has shown endless respect for the memory of our martyrs, national heroes, veterans and families of martyrs.

Noting the importance of introducing our martyrs to the younger generation, H.Asgarov spoke about the important role of educational institutions in this work. He stressed that the task of the school, in addition to education, is to raise the young generation in the spirit of patriotism, to bring up a worthy citizen by educating them to respect their land and people.

Other speakers spoke about Javid’s short and glorious life and memories of him. It was noted that along with Javid, each of our heroes who died for the territorial integrity of our country is an example for the younger generation. The memory of Javid and all the martyrs of the Motherland, who gave their lives for the freedom and integrity of our lands, will never be forgotten, will always be remembered with pride.

Family members of the martyr thanked for the attention and care.

During the event, a video about the life of the martyr was shown.

Afterwards, poems on patriotism were performed by schoolchildren.
