The State Service for Control over Small-Sized Vessels and Water Rescue of the Ministry of Emergency Situations held a range of events to raise awareness of small-sized vessel users on the relevant safety rules.

The next such events on the theme “Safe operation of small-sized vessels” were organized in Pirallahi settlement of Pirallahi district, Baku city, Shahaghaj village of Astara district and Balaja Hamya village of Siyazan district.

The users of small-sized vessels, including fishing subjects who carry out industrial hunting of fish and other water bioresources, were informed about the supply equipment of such vessels during the events. Norms were explained on the existing requirements for technical inspection of small-sized vessels. The importance of technical inspection of small-sized vessels in line with the legislation, as well as obtaining driving licenses for the right to use small-sized vessels were noted. The drivers of small-sized vessels were also informed on the rules of using collective and personal rescue means, as well as navigation equipment.

Awareness-raising brochures were distributed among the participants at the end of the events.
