The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

The parties discussed topical issues of cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, energy, transport and industrial sectors, logistics, as well as the intensification of interregional contacts, cultural and humanitarian exchange.

Great potential for further expansion of cooperation in industrial cooperation, agriculture, energy, and the transport industry was noted. The sides stressed the importance of the speedy implementation of cooperation projects in the automotive industry, creation of joint cotton-textile clusters and the production of electrical appliances.

Akylbek Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to expanding comprehensive cooperation with the fraternal republic based on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.

«Evidence of this is the Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signed during your recent visit to the Kyrgyz Republic. I am convinced that this anniversary year will be marked by new achievements in all areas of Kyrgyz-Uzbek mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as the successful implementation of all agreements reached at the highest level,» he added.
