All teachers fired after rally in boarding school 1 in Bishkek

All teachers were fired after a rally held in the boarding school No. 1 in Bishkek. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov told 24.kg news agency.

He called it unacceptable to involve students in the rally.

«A new staff is already working at the school,» the official said.

Teachers and students held a rally in the capital’s boarding school No. 1 on April 17. They demanded from the interdepartmental commission checking appeals from the teaching staff, the city prosecutor’s office and deputies of the City Council about violations in the activities of the boarding school to leave the educational institution, and the teachers continue working.

The Bishkek City Hall announced that a decision was made to reorganize boarding school No. 1 by merging it with the secondary boarding school No. 71 named after Togolok Moldo for orphans and children left without parental care, and renaming it into the Bishkek school-complex named after Togolok Moldo.
