Ambassador: Views of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan on integration of Turkic world are completely the same

“This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between brotherly Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Our relations have a centuries-old history. There are historical, strategic, religious, and linguistic affinities between our peoples and states,” said Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Serjan Abdikarimov, said at a press conference today, APA reports.

According to the ambassador, many events took place at different times in history, which expanded relations between peoples: “This year, we witnessed such a significant event as the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. Over the years, as a result of continuous political dialogues, strategic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan has intensified. In August of this year, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited Azerbaijan for the first time. This visit was of historical importance, as it coincided with the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. The brotherhood between our countries was especially noted during the meeting held between our presidents, and the relations in strategic, economic, and other spheres were highly appreciated. During the visit, the declaration was signed, which, in turn, contributed to the strengthening of relations. This document was the conclusion of the 30th anniversary of our relations and the beginning of further ties. The meetings held by the heads of state and in a more expanded format proved that there are not any misunderstandings on political issues between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. We approach many issues taking place in the international arena from the same standpoint.”

The diplomat noted that the views of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan on the integration of the Turkic world are completely the same.
