Armenia wants peace, but not surrender – Pashinyan

The peace treaty with Azerbaijan should not be the surrender of Armenia, the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in Berlin during a debate on the topic: “Security and stability in the South Caucasus. Armenia’s Prospects”.

“I am determined to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, but this should not be a document resembling a surrender for Armenia. It should be a document about a real and lasting peace in our region, and I am ready to bear this responsibility,” he said.

Pashinyan added that his political team, which makes up the majority in the country’s parliament, has assumed responsibility for promoting the peace agenda, but it needs the support of the international community
