Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party has nominated Minister of High-Tech Industry Vahagn Khachatryan for the post of President, said Speaker of Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan, who temporarily assumes Presidential powers, APA reports citing TASS.

His candidacy is expected to put in a vote in the Parliament soon.
