“Austria hopes that Trkiye will take on the role of mediator in the South Caucasus,” Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Alexander Schallenberg said during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Ankara, APA’s Turkish correspondent reports.

He noted that Trkiye is also influential in the Russia-Ukraine war and is taking new steps in the Middle East.
