The opening ceremony of “Azerbaijan 500 ASAN startup program” has been held yesterday, ASAN Service told APA.
The ceremony was organized in a video format in accordance with COVID 19 pandemic condition.
The conference was attended by the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Nabiyev, CEO and co-founder of 500 Startups Christina Tsai, regional director of this company Arianne Dilts, CEO of Pasha Holding Jalal Gasimov and CEO and founder of NextSale company Taleh Karimli.
Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev spoke about measures taken by State Agency in the field of formation of the innovation ecosystem and infrastructure in the country at a time when technology is evolving very rapidly. It has been brought to attention that the “Azerbaijan 500 ASAN Startup program” will contribute to increasing knowledge and skills of local startups, their access to investors.
Goal of ‘Azerbaijan 500 ASAN Startup’ program organized by the Innovation Center and sponsored by PASHA Holding is to help creating enthusiasm and implus to the innovative entrepreneurship among potential startup builders in our country. A program consisting of several online and offline events in order to strengthen creation of large startup movement will continue 6 months. Program will cover registration of candidates, initial trainings, startup development, customer and market analysis, prototype preparation and development. Startups that successfully complete the program will be able to attract investment and become highly competitive in foreign markets.
People who want to participate in the startup may register until March 19.
