Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Explore Collaborative Healthcare Personnel Training


BAKU – In a recent bilateral meeting, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan discussed enhancing cooperation in healthcare personnel training.



According to Trend News Agency, Health Minister Teymur Musayev highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as a robust foundation for their ongoing partnership. The meeting underscored the significance of mutual visits and the friendly relations between the heads of state in fostering broader cooperation across various sectors, particularly in healthcare.



Minister Musayev pointed out the potential for both nations to expand their relationship within the healthcare sector, emphasizing the availability of necessary conditions for exchanging modern methodological and scientific-practical information for the continuous professional training of medical specialists. The meeting also touched on the interest in adopting Kazakhstan’s practices in the accreditation and quality control of medical institutions in Azerbaijan.



Alim Bayel, the Kazakh Ambassador, affirmed the high level of bilateral relations and expressed Kazakhstan’s interest in establishing effective cooperation with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health. The dialogue also included discussions on the upcoming IV meeting of health ministers of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States, set to be held in Shusha in October. This event is expected to further deepen the ties between the health ministries of the two countries.



Additionally, the officials discussed training qualified healthcare personnel and other mutual interests, setting a positive tone for future collaborative efforts in enhancing the healthcare systems of both nations.
