Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Sign Military Cooperation Plan at Baku Defense Expo

BAKU—During the ongoing 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX) at the Baku Expo Center, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have strengthened their military ties through a new cooperation agreement.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the signing ceremony took place on September 24, featuring high-level talks between Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, and his Kazakh counterpart, Colonel-General Ruslan Jaksilykov. The meeting focused on the current and future state of military cooperation between the two countries, where both ministers exchanged detailed views on various issues of mutual interest.

The bilateral military cooperation plan for 2025 was officially signed by the defense ministries of both nations, signifying a commitment to enhance their strategic and defense-related interactions. Additionally, a memorandum was signed between the National Defense universities of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, aiming to foster further educational and training collaborations in military studies.
