Azerbaijan and Trkiye Strengthen Ties in Emergency Management and Forestry

BAKU—A high-level meeting between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations and Trkiye’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry has underscored the growing strategic alliance between the two nations, particularly in managing emergency situations and forestry.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations, hosted Ibrahim Yumakli, Trkiye’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in preventing forest fires and other emergency situations. Minister Heydarov emphasized the strong bilateral relations fostered by the political will of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which have propelled the partnership to its highest level.

The discussions also involved a broad exchange of views on various matters of mutual interest, aiming to deepen the collaboration between the respective ministries. This meeting marks another step in strengthening the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, particularly in areas critical to both countries’ environmental and emergency management strategies.
