BAKU — Azerbaijani border troops successfully prevented the smuggling of over 7 kilograms of narcotic marijuana from Iran into Azerbaijan during a border operation early on August 15.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the operation was conducted at 00:50 in the service territory of the “Goytepe” border detachment. The total weight of the intercepted drugs was 7 kilograms and 710 grams. The State Border Service has confirmed that operational-investigative measures are ongoing to address the incident.
