Declared gas imports to Azerbaijan in January-March 2023 amounted to 939 million 202.43 thousand cubic meters, by 14.2 times higher than the same period in 2022.

The cost of gas imported to Azerbaijan in January-March 2023 amounted to $161 million 300.99 thousand (an increase of 64.3 times), the quarterly report of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In the structure of gas imports to Azerbaijan, the main volume of gas (79%) fell on the Russian Federation, from where 741 million 787.92 thousand cubic meters were supplied for $ 132 million 332.78 thousand.

Deliveries from Turkmenistan accounted for 197 million 414.51 thousand cubic meters worth $28 million 968.21 thousand.

It should be noted that the declared gas imports to Azerbaijan in 2022 amounted to 1 billion 16 million 423.6 thousand cubic meters (an increase of 2 times) by $130 million 634.12 thousand (an increase of 6.7 times). In the structure of gas imports to Azerbaijan, 84.3% accounted for supplies from Turkmenistan – 857 million 66.65 thousand cubic meters worth $110 million 871.38 thousand. Imports from Russia amounted to 93 million 265.8 thousand cubic meters for $17 million 254.17 thousand, from Iran – 66 million 91.19 thousand cubic meters for $2 million 508.56 thousand
