Azerbaijan initiates criminal case against school principal (Azeri-Press News Agency)

The Anti-Corruption Department under General Prosecutor has investigated a material from the Education Ministry in connection with the inspection of the activity of secondary school #136 named after R. Sadigov in Baku.

The investigation revealed grounds to suspect that in the academic year 2013/2014, the school principal Lutfiyya Gasimova, abusing her official powers, has created privileged conditions for some teachers to increase their workload, for which she collected monthly money for them and entered false information into official documents when some teachers were not on the job. A criminal case has been launched on the fact under articles #308.1 (abuse of power) and 313 (forgery) of the Criminal Code.

Investigation is underway.
