BAKU — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, has held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

According to a new release by Trend News Agency, the ministers discussed issues related to cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as prospects for the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process and the current situation in the region. The importance of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia within the context of each country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing a lasting peace in the region, was emphasized. Additionally, the sides exchanged views on other topics of mutual interest.
