Azerbaijani Army liberated 70 settlements from occupation on the last day of Patriotic War

Today is the last day of the Patriotic War – 44th day, APA reports.

The counter-offensive operation launched by the Azerbaijani Army on September 27, 2020, ended on November 9, 2020. Azerbaijani Army liberated 70 settlements from occupation on the last day of Patriotic War – On November 9.

As a result of the successful operation, Gobu Dilagharda, Yal Pirahmadli, Yukhari Yaghlivand, Dilagharda, Seyidmahmudlu, Alasgarli, Ashagi Guzlak, Govshatli, Mirzajamalli, Shakarjik, Merdinli, Shikhli, Garamammadli, Dovlatyarli, Huseynbayli, Sarajig villages of Fuzuli district, Damirchiler, Chanagchi, Madatkand, Sighnag, Dashalti villages of Khojaly district, Susanlig, Bina, Tugh, Aghdam, Azykh, Boyuk Taghlar, Salakatin, Zoghalbulag, Arakul, Taghaverd, Zardanashen, Shahar villages of Khojavend district, Huseynalilar, Soyudlu, Ashagi Sirik, Galajik, Molla Hasanli, Asgarkhanli, Yukhari Nusus, Ashig Malikli, Niftalilar, Garar villages of Jabrayil district, Yukhari Mollu, Ashagi Mollu, Khojik, Garaimanli, Khandak, Hamzali, Mahruzlu, Hal, Balligaya, Ulashli, Tinli, Khojahan, Boyunakar, Garagoyunlu, Charali villages of Gubadli district, Kechikli, Ordekli, Sobu, Garagoz, Iskandarbayli villages and Bartaz settlement of Zangilan district, Gulebird, Safiyan and Turks villages of Lachin district, as well as the heights of Bartaz (2300 m), Sighirt (1370 m) and Shukurataz (2000 m) in the territory of Zangilan district were cleared from the occupants.

During the 44 days, the Azerbaijani Army liberated a total of more than 300 settlements, as well as important strategic heights in the direction of Aghdara, Murovdagh and Zangilan from occupation. Understanding its defeat in the war with the liberation of Shusha on November 8, Armenia was forced to sign an act of capitulation on November 10, 2020. 2908 servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces martyred in the Patriotic War, 6 people are considered missing.
