Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has had a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
The ministers exchanged views on the current state of relations between the two countries.
They noted the recently observed harmful rhetoric, which does not correspond to the level of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as the need to resolve all differences through dialogue.
The FMs emphasized the importance of always respecting the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the countries.
They decided to discuss issues related to transit transportation through Azerbaijan by the way of direct contacts between relevant government agencies.
The ministers also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
