Azerbaijani Prime Minister Discusses Judicial Cooperation with Turkish Supreme Court President


BAKU—Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov recently hosted a meeting with Ömer Kerkez, President of the Supreme Court of Appeals of the Republic of Türkiye, to discuss bilateral judicial ties.



According to Trend News Agency, both parties expressed satisfaction with the robust development of Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations across various sectors, highlighting that their interstate relations have ascended to a peak of strategic partnership and alliance under the guidance of both nations’ leaders. The meeting underscored the strong existing cooperation between the judicial systems of the two countries, recognizing its importance and advocating for continued collaboration in bilateral and international forums.



The discussion also touched upon the significant role of the Conference of Supreme Courts of Turkic States, established in Shusha last October, as a milestone in judicial cooperation. Additionally, the prospects for broadening cooperation in the judicial-legal sphere were thoroughly explored, with emphasis on enhancing these interactions in the future.



Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov, also participated in the discussions, further solidifying the commitment to deepen judicial links between the two nations.
