On order of the head of state, Buniyat Huseynov has been recalled from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Iran and permanent representative to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

On order of Ilham Aliyev, Ali Fikret oglu Alizadeh has been appointed Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iran and representative to the ECO.
