Azerbaijan’s MFA and ADA University organized “Diplomacy Week”

On July 7-15, 2022, within the framework of the “Year of Shusha” announced by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the next “Diplomacy Week” was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ADA University, the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

Within the framework of the Week dedicated to the topic of “Peace and construction efforts of Azerbaijan in the post-conflict period”, the youth of Azerbaijan will discuss the new realities that have arisen in the post-conflict region, in various directions, including political, economic, cultural, military, media, etc. Meetings with state officials, as well as visits to relevant institutions, were organized in order to increase awareness of the steps taken in the direction of peace building in the fields.

During the opening session of the week, the participants met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the rector of ADA University, Hafiz Pashayev. On the first day of the Diplomacy Week, the participants also had an interesting meeting with Ambassador Cahit Bagchi at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In the following days, the participants of the Diplomacy Week visited the “N” military unit of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Within the framework of the visit, they met with the heroes of the Patriotic War, including the officials of the Ministry of Defense. Meetings of the participants with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economy, “Azersu” OJSC, “Azerishiq” OJSC, visit to Milli Majlis and meeting with MP, “Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting” Closed Shareholder The visit to the community and the meeting with the chairman caused great interest.

One of the interesting sessions of the Diplomacy Week was the participation of the participants in the meeting of the heads of the diplomatic service bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan held in Shusha on July 9, 2022. Young diplomacy volunteers visited Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, and got an opportunity to get acquainted with the construction works carried out in these areas and to communicate with the heads of diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan.

The closing ceremony of Diplomacy Week was held on July 22, 2022. Speaking at the closing session, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, made a general evaluation of the Week and emphasized the importance of such events in terms of informing young people.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov proudly noted that there is an educated, prepared, patriotic youth of Azerbaijan, and said that human capital is the national wealth of our country and emphasized the importance of the contribution of these young people to the restoration and construction works carried out in our territories freed from occupation. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also shared with the young people the results of the recruitment exam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held recently with the State Examination Center and noted with pleasure that a number of young people will soon join the ranks of diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The minister said that the mentioned young people will bring new life to the activities carried out in the direction of ensuring the national interests of Azerbaijan. In the end, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who shared his recommendations with the young people, emphasized that every young person, regardless of their specialty or profession, will make a great contribution to our society.

Later, certificates were presented to the Diplomacy Week participants by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and ADA University Vice-Rector Fariz Ismayilzadeh.
