Azerbaijan’s MFA: Some states and int’l organizations carry out double standards against Azerbaijan

“As we know, currently, eco-activists and NGO representatives carry out an action on Lachin-Khankandi road, city of Shusha, as a protest to illegal exploitation of mineral fields, especially Kizibulag gold and Demirli copper-molybdenum deposits in our areas temporarily deployed by Russian peacekeepers. Unfortunately, as in the 1990s, today we also witness the implementation of double standards by some states and international organizations, in relation to Azerbaijan,” said Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov at the commemoration ceremony dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of January 20 tragedy, held in Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.

“This protest is being held in Azerbaijani lands, and despite double standards in this regard, Azerbaijani people will demand its right and achieve what they want. As a guarantor of the security of Azerbaijan’s territories, it is the right of our state to ensure full control over the Lachin-Khankendi road in accordance with our sovereign rights. This action is a socio-political movement reflecting the ownership of the land and natural resources of the Azerbaijani people as a result of our victory in the 44-day Patriotic War,” noted Deputy FM.
