Azerbaijan’s moving up 12 spots in UN E-Government Survey 2016 ‘landmark’ achievement

Azerbaijan’s climbing 12 spots in the United Nations E-Government Survey 2016 is a landmark achievement,” said Coordinator of Electronic Government Portal Jamshid Nakhchivanski.

Azerbaijan jumped 12 places to rank 56th among 193 countries in an updated survey, which is released every two years.

The country also jumped 30 spots to rank 47th in the E-Participation Index (EPI).

“For the EPI, Azerbaijan ranked 11th in Asian group which includes 47 countries, 7th in Western Asia group which includes 16 countries, and second among 32 countries which have no access to sea. Azerbaijan also ranked 4th for the EPI and 2nd in the Commonwealth of Independent States,” said Nakhchivanski.
