Azerbaijan’s “mygov” Update Makes Handling Life Events Easier, Says Deputy Chairman

BAKU—Deputy Chairman Rashad Khaligov of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of Azerbaijan (IDDA) introduced significant enhancements to the “mygov” e-government platform that simplify the documentation of vital life events.

According to Trend News Agency, Khaligov detailed how the upgraded platform has revolutionized the way citizens manage documentation related to marriages, births, and deaths. “With the updated ‘mygov’ platform, citizens can now handle such significant life events digitally—from filing marriage documents to registering births and notifying deaths—all online,” Khaligov explained.

The platform’s ‘my data’ section stores over 40 types of personal information, providing users with secure access to digital versions of important documents like identity cards and certificates, which they can share in QR code or PDF formats. It also features a tracking system for the history of data exchanges, detailing interactions with various government institutions and allowing users to manage access permissions to their personal data.

Khaligov also pointed out additional improvements that enhance user interaction with government services. “The platform now has an improved search system, a new notification module, and an enhanced application submission function, all designed to make government service interactions quicker and more transparent,” he said.

Furthermore, the platform offers a variety of practical services for everyday needs, such as locating electric vehicle charging stations, updating utility subscriber codes, calculating pensions, and scheduling appointments with local authorities, making it a comprehensive tool for Azerbaijani citizens navigating public services.
