Baku Energy Week to start in June

The Baku Energy Week is to be held on June 1-3, 2022 in the capital of Azerbaijan. As the most prestigious event of the petroleum and energy sector of the Caspian region, the Baku Energy Week brings together the 27th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition, the 10th Anniversary Caspian International Power and Renewable Energy Exhibition, as well as the Baku Energy Forum, which is the successor to the Caspian Oil and Gas Conference.

The events are held under the official support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and SOCAR. The organisers are “Iteca Caspian” and its international partners.

The Caspian Oil and Gas exhibition is the first exhibition from the date of independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The annual participation of President Ilham Aliyev in the opening ceremony once again confirms the high status of the exhibition. During its many successful years, officials from USA, UK, Turkey and other countries have sent their welcome letters to the exhibition. The Caspian Oil & Gas exhibition is a holder of the quality mark of the international exhibition community UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry).

This year, the traditional Caspian Oil and Gas exhibition will once again bring together the leaders of the energy industry from more than 250 companies across the globe. The lists of participants include companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Croatia, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Italy, Norway, Romania, Russian Federation, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, USA, CIS countries and Japan.

Exposition of the exhibition will cover several areas: transportation and production of oil and gas, innovative technologies, service maintenance, chemical industry. Current and prospective oil and gas projects will also be discussed.

This year the Caspian International Power and Renewable Energy Exhibition “Caspian Power” celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The leading companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Italy, the Russian Federation, Turkey, United Kingdom and other countries are among the exhibitors. The exhibition is mainly focuses on energy and electrical engineering, alternative and renewable energy sources, cable and wire products and lighting.

The exhibition also includes a busy agenda of additional events, which will take in Baku Expo Center from June 1 to June 3. The following will be held : session on “Advanced automation solutions in the Oil and Gas industry”, Session “Significance of the commissioning stage in project delivery”, session Energy Talks (“Women in power” ? “Bizimkil?r”), session : Clients vs Vendors “How to become a demanded vendor in the Oil and Gas market”, session: “Supply chain management during storage and transportation of crudes with significantly varying properties”, conference on “HSE-management in the Oil and Gas industry”

There will also be traditional B2B meetings with the participation of foreign and local manufacturers and distributors.

The Baku Energy Forum will be held from June 2 to 3 in the Baku Convention Center. Over the years, the Caspian Oil and Gas Conference has acquired the status of the main annual event in the energy sector as a platform for discussion of the main industrial challenges. As a continuation of this assignment, the conference passed the mantle to the Baku Energy Forum, which expanded its program with new energy segments. The forum agenda will include: plenary session: “Energy in Transition: new opportunities and challenges in the changing world”, “Review of the global Energy Development”, “Path to net zero”, “Personnel fulfilment for the transition to a low-carbon future in the energy sector”. The forum will also review: new production opportunities in the Caspian region, gas routes, oil refining and financing of the petrochemical projects.

Consequently, exhibitions and the forum will traditionally provide an opportunity to meet with the industry leaders, to demonstrate technologies and services in action, acquire useful business contacts, and also get information about the latest technological developments, thus expanding opportunities for international cooperation in the petroleum and energy industry.
