Baku hosts first trilateral political consultations of foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Ukraine

The first trilateral political consultations among the ministries of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Ukraine have been held in Baku.

The political consultations were co-chaired by deputy ministers of foreign affairs Khalaf Khalafov of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Umit Yardim of the Republic of Turkey and Vasyl Bodnar of Ukraine.

At the meeting, the parties hailed current level of relations among the three countries and expressed their confidence that political consultations in the trilateral format would create new opportunities for cooperation and contribute to the strengthening of the traditional ties of friendship and partnership.

During the political consultations the parties expressed their support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of these countries within the internationally recognized borders. The parties also exchanged views on international and regional issues, cooperation within international organizations and discussed prospects for cooperation in transport, energy, economic, trade, education, tourism and other spheres including fight against terrorism.

The parties agreed to hold trilateral political consultations on a regular basis and continue the high-level cooperation in this format.
