Bayern confirms Tuchel will replace Nagelsmann

FC Bayern Munich confirmed on Friday that Thomas Tuchel will replace Julian Nagelsmann as head coach. Nagelsmann became Bayern’s coach in July 2021 and won the Bundesliga and the German DFL-Supercup in 2021 and 2022, APA reports citing Teletrader.

“After the World Cup we have played less successfully and less attractively. The big fluctuations in performance have cast doubt on our goals for this season, but also our goals for the future,” Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn said in a press release.

Tuchel signed a contract until June 30, 2025 with Bayern and will hold his first training session with the team on March 27, 2023. Most recently, he worked at Chelsea FC, winning the UEFA Champions League in 2021 and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2022.
