BP and partners complete a project to support the development of the IT market in Azerbaijan

BP and partners in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, “Shah Deniz” and South Caucasus Pipeline projects have completed the ABB Tech Academy project, to which they joined in 2020.

The project trained a total of 208 people from various sectors of the economy, developing their information technology (IT) skills, general technological knowledge and skills, allowing them to keep pace with the rapidly changing world of technology. The training of 150 of these participants was jointly funded by BP and partners and IBA.

During the project implementation period, nine groups were proposed with representatives from more than 50 local and international organizations, including IBA and Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Baku Engineering University, Baku Higher Oil School, UNEC, etc.

The total cost of the project is AZN 400,000 ($235,300). AZN 200,000 of this amount was provided by BP and its partners, while the remaining AZN 200,000 was financed by the Interbank.
