Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications launched here last Friday the Cambodia ICT Award 2016 to select winners to represent Cambodia to compete in the ASEAN ICT Awards 2016.
This is a national competition aiming to enhance knowledge on ICT among the public as well as to reduce digital gaps in business community and between people living in provinces and cities, said Mr. Seng Sopheap, President of the National Institute of Posts, Telecommunications and ICT.
The competition will also encourage innovations and creativity in ICT among local enterprises and relevant institutions, which contributes to the advancement of the country’s ICT industry, he added.
The three top winners will get US$2,000, US$1,000, and US$500, respectively. There are six awards categories – Public Sector, Private Sector, Corporate Social Responsibility, Digital Content, Start-up Company, and Research and Development.
The registration began on Mar. 25 and will close on May 25 while the final selection and award ceremony will take place on June 10. For the application process, the applicants just go to www.cambodiaictaward.com, then fill the participant’s information and submit a 5 minute video via youtube about their product.
