Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, called on the police and military chiefs as well as district, provincial and municipal governors not to be drunk during the Khmer New Year holiday next week in order to ensure security for people.

All over the world today, everything can occur every time, therefore the governors, police and military chiefs have to be careful in order to prevent any eventual incidents, underlined the Cambodian premier while presiding over the inaugurating ceremony of Techo Rany Rattanak Buddhist Monks Dormitory in Krapeu Ha Pagoda in Takhmao town, Kandal province this morning.

“At every holiday, I never feel relaxed, I always follow up the situation, even at mid-night when everyone falls asleep,” he said.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen appealed to the public to keep vigilant to prevent any eventual fire incidents; to the youth not to play any “indignity” games such as spraying water and white powder, which could cause traffic accidents or conflicts; and to the bus companies not to increase passenger fares.
