Car bombing kills 20 in PYD-held Syrian town

At least 20 people were killed and scores injured in a powerful car bombing in north-eastern Syria on Wednesday, according to Anadolu Agency.

The attack targeted a recruitment center of the PYD, the Syrian affiliate of the terrorist PKK organization, in the PYD-held town of Qamishli.

The sources said 20 people were killed and 50 others injured in the attack.

Syrian state TV, however, put the death toll at 22.

According to local sources, the explosion has also left a massive trail of destruction in the town.

Daesh terrorist group reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement circulated on social media websites.
