Baku: A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Energy Orkhan Zeynalov visited the Chinese cities of Yangjiang and Beijing from September 24-26 to discuss cooperation in the field of renewable energy. The delegation held meetings with key Chinese companies, signaling growing interest in joint projects within Azerbaijan’s renewable energy sector.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Zeynalov’s delegation met with representatives from several leading Chinese energy firms, including China Energy Engineering Group, Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute, and China Datang Corporation. Discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s energy corridors and the potential for exporting renewable energy through the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe green energy corridor. Chinese companies expressed interest in investing in renewable energy plants, offshore wind projects, and high voltage direct current (HVDC) systems in Azerbaijan, signaling a deepening of bilateral cooperation in this sector.
